Anyway, we interviewed three flooring companies and went with Dustin's team at Interior Technique.

Why? Besides the great reviews, it was their attention to detail in the estimate, which was actually higher than the other two guys we met with. That's right, I went with the higher estimate. Why?

If you watch TLC, you'll know. With construction on an existing home, there's a lot that could go wrong and time involved when ripping up floors where you don't know what's below (we had a mix of carpet and hardwood) and there's leveling that may need to be done, things to move, etc. That's why they're called estimates.

Dustin's estimate left very little to chance. Very minor details, but details that would cost say $100 (minor when these jobs cost much more than that in total) were itemized and included. That mattered to me.

Besides that, he was very responsive and realistic. We had ideas on what we liked and he also showed us other options as well. 

I wasn't here for all of the install, so I only met a few of the guys on and off during the process. All three were nice, courteous and smelled of rich mahogany... ok, not the last part ;-)

Other than that, Dustin and his team were quick AND responsive. From Amy in their home office to texts and calls from some of the install guys.

This floor should last me quite a while, but if I ever need a team to put another one in here or elsewhere, they're my first call."

We hired the Interior Technique team to GC the renovations on our new house. They were able to knock down a weight barring wall, demo and rebuild the kitchen, lay floors and install appliances in 6 weeks!

The contractors they brought in were great and represented them well. They are one of very few people who specializes in Ikea kitchens. 

Not to mention--people are obsessed with our flooring!!"
